Meet Cassidy Causey
Hi, I’m Cassidy (she/her), and I’m so glad you’re here.
As a white, neurodivergent, able-bodied, bisexual woman, I understand how our identities and lived experiences shape the way we move through the world—and how we heal. I’ve been on my own healing journey for over 30 years, and as someone who sees her own therapist, I know how vulnerable it can feel to open up. Your bravery in taking this step is deeply valued and honored here. I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion, empathy, and perhaps a dose of dark humor, as we create a space where meaningful healing can happen.
I work primarily with adult women who’ve experienced relational trauma, including childhood trauma, sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and religious harm. But therapy is just one part of the broader healing puzzle. In our work together, we’ll acknowledge how systems of oppression—like colonization and patriarchy—affect mental health and well-being. Therapy will be a space for reclaiming joy, connection, and wholeness, while also recognizing the importance of community care and collective healing.
In my approach to therapy, I draw heavily from the work of Janina Fisher, combining trauma-informed techniques with somatic practices, polyvagal theory, and parts work. Together, these methods help us safely address the way trauma is held in the body, and allow us to gently reshape your nervous system’s responses over time. We’ll focus on identifying those small, positive moments—glimmers—that help regulate and bring ease to the nervous system, building on them to create more stability and peace in your daily life.
Therapy is a collaborative process, and I’m committed to helping you reconnect with your body, strengths, and inner wisdom. Whether we’re using grounding techniques, breathwork, or exploring different parts of yourself, I’ll support you at every step. Together, we’ll uncover your glimmers and move toward a life where you feel empowered, connected, and capable of facing whatever comes next.
